Developing Cultural Intelligence in WIL
In this workshop, Karima Ramji and Shabnam (Shay) Ivkovic will introduce the practitioner aspects of the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) model for developing intercultural competencies. CQ is a globally recognized way of assessing and improving effectiveness in culturally diverse situations. The intent of sharing this model with the CEWIL practitioner community is to develop knowledge capital on how we, as a community, can advance intercultural effectiveness within our student and employer stakeholders. Small working groups will explore tangible activities and best practices that students and employers can engage in toward building cultural intelligence through WIL, and in better understanding global problems.
